Woodco is a pan-industry body which represents the common interests of the forestry and wood processing sectors.
The Wood Council of New Zealand (Woodco) was successfully incorporated under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 on 2 March 2006.
Woodco’s members are the following associations:
1. Forest Owners
2. Wood Processors
3. Pine Manufacturers
4. Farm Forestry
5. Forest Industry Contractors
A major study report released by the Wood Council highlights the need for by-products from established industries like sawmilling if New Zealand is to develop profitable businesses based on emerging technologies, like bio-fuels and bio-chemicals - further information and the reports are available here.

Supporting Trade works
Woodco is a supporter of Trade works, unwrapping the benefits of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement.
